In the spring and summer of 2018 ATLAS will be offering a select number of hands-on research trips to the south east region of Guizhou, China. The groups will be limited in size and will afford an opportunity for in-depth learning about Guizhou’s particular traditions of indigo dyeing, natural dyeing, weaving, and other textile arts. In addition to these, the architecture, food culture, and natural landscape will be explored and researched. This is a rare ecological and historical terrain that has been largely untouched and will afford a unique opportunity to experience a place where tradition is alive and thriving today.
Details and itineraries will be available in mid-December of 2017.
